War Pass's one demensional style was exposed when some bad racing luck happened at the start. Once He couldn't get the early lead the jock tried to rate him behind the pace. We'll that didn't work and he was done before the top of the stretch. Excuses? Well it could be he didn't care for the racing surface at Tampa Bay. That happens. Or he could have gotten injured during the running of the race. He never changed leads during the stretch run which as a general rule indicates some sort of physical problem. One things for sure , he's no longer the pre race Kentucky Derby favorite.
