Trainers Bobby Frankel and Ron McAnally have half of the eight entrants in Wednesday's $65,000 Intercontinental Handicap at Hollywood Park, and their runners will account for much more than half of the dollars wagered on the one-mile turf race for fillies and mares.

Frankel starts Double Trouble, a Group 2 stakes winner in Brazil who is seeking her first stakes win in this country.

McAnally has three runners - Charm the Giant, the winner of the Grade 3 Wilshire Handicap in April; Private Banking, who won the Autumn Leaves Handicap at Bay Meadows last month; and Dream's, who has placed in four stakes in the last 18 months.

Charm the Giant is the likely favorite in her first start since finishing sixth in the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes here on May 28. A 5-year-old mare owned by McAnally's wife, Debbie, Charm the Giant has won 6 of 14 starts and $294,734.

"It seems the older she gets, the better she gets," McAnally said.

Charm the Giant, the 121-pound highweight, races near the front, and should have a pace to follow from Velvet Moonlite and Sweet Belle. Those fillies are coming off losses in which they were near the front and faded through the stretch.

A quick pace would be a boost for Private Banking, who comes from the back of the field. She has won two stakes in Northern California, but has yet to win a stakes in Southern California.

Double Trouble comes from off the pace. She won an allowance race and an optional claimer earlier this year but is winless in her last three starts, finding trouble at times.

"She makes her own bad luck," Frankel said. "She lugs in. We'll try a different bit with her.

Frankel was reluctant to predict whether Double Trouble would be deserving of a start in a graded stakes soon.

"Let her do it on the racetrack," Frankel said. "No sense talking about it yet."

The other runners are Velvet Moonlite, the winner of the E.B. Johnston Stakes at Fairplex Park in September; Sweet Belle, the winner of the Swingtime Stakes at Santa Anita on Oct. 8; and the longshots Fun Logic and I Can See
