I May Have Really F'd Up Here

So I'm about to bet the late pick 4 at Santa Anita. I put my ticket through and it costs $180.

    1,2,13/2,3,4,9,10/2,3,4,6,/6,10,12.

I thought it was too much even though I had the funds.

I remove the 1 and 13 from the first leg and make a $60. I back it up with a revised ticket SAX R7 1.00 USD PK4 1,13/3,4,10/2,3,6/10.

As luck would have it, the 13 wins the first leg ($23.60) and the 9 wins the seconds leg ($62.60). I'm out of the pick 4. I would have been deep in the third leg and have the fav and two bombs in the last leg. The double paid almost $1,200 for $2.

As a back up, I played the late pick 3 with all of the horses. If I was to hit the pick 4 I was originally going to do, I will hit this pick 3. Give me one of my bombs in the last leg and we should be good.

    Apr-18 SAX R8 1.00 USD PK3 2,3,4,9,10/2,3,4,6/6,10,12

The 10 wins. I would have had the pick 4. I hit the pick 3. I have no idea on prices. I say the pick 4 would have paid 12k. I say I get 1k back on the pick 3.
