After laying low since mid del mar I'm starting to buy the forms again. Planning to get in shape for what should be a shot at some nice coin on Breeder's cup day.My past history shows I usually win with my best bets and that covers the day. It should be a great racing day.I like the fact espn2 is covering the event as opposed to NBC in the past. Its better coverage in my opinion.

I couldn't agree anymore with you bbyhill.

Why Bob Costas is even on there broadcasting team is beyond me. I mean he's admitted several times that he knows absolutely nothing about horse racing at all, and always defers to somebody else when it comes to capping questions.

youbet.com might not offer breaders cup wagering unless they clear up the money they owe for last years BC. brisbet.com is offering BC wagering. you cant bet on ny tracks anymore on brisbet but i guess they are still going to offer the BC at monmouth

Thinking of making the trek up to Monmouth for it. Best day in horse racing bar none. I absolutely love to see all these specialist horses go at it, and love to see some of the best international horses take on the top domestic horses in various classes. Virtually every race is better and has a bigger purse than say a Triple Crown race. I can't wait! GL to all of you come Breeders Cup time!

Good luck also Big Bollocks on the Breeders Cup, every year I find stuff that has good odds that have a shot at winning and I usually will hit one or two good prices on those races.

my dad took us 3 kids to the track on occasion. i remember picking up the tickets off the ground, they were blue, green or red i think based on the play, and i would take them home and the next day i would check all the tickets against the winners in the paper to see if i had a winning ticket. i think i was about 7 years old. i never did find a winning ticket, still i did better than dad!!

Please report back the next day about how the event was handled at Monmouth. I only went there once but from what I saw, they can't handle a big day like that in that facility. The parking was in some dirt field that I recall for a 3,000 crowd on a Wednesday.

That was 10 years ago, so maybe they've made improvements.

Let us know about parking, betting lines, refreshment (rip-off) costs.

I've gone to two BCs, one at Belmont and one at Churchill, and both were bad experiences. Belmont was better because the facility is huge. Chuchill was too packed because they only use the infield on Derby weekend.

It's been good to me the past couple of years!
As for Costas, put him back mucking the stalls where he belongs.
Don't know about this new Fri/Sat format though?
    Good Luck everyone!

the new fri/sat format i think will work out good because they will add more then three races on fri in future BC races so the betting opportunity will be there. BC 2008 in santa anita

first breeders cup for me was 1984 in the infield at hollywood park. its grown since then. Tomorrow is a horse player version of senior ditch day for me at work. Using the I got a Fever as an excuse when I call me sick. Saturday plans include gathering with friends from the past at an offtrack betting center. I like the fact the track will be off.gl everyone!
