Would truly appreciate one of our more astute handicappers opinions on this race.

Just spent 20 minutes discussing with a friend who has been in and around horse racing for 40 years. Not sure we got but I would truly appreciate some further insight as this is quite an interesting entry.

Ran last at 5.5 F for Baffert. Apparently a 4yr old as carrying +8 pounds. Was apparently placed in Maiden Claimer (Last) for 150K claim. I guess hoping he wouldn't get claimed?? Got claimed and sent to Sean McCarthy, yet same jock. Now placed in 67K MSW. Adding .5F.

Any help??

I'm thinking this may be a go. If you watched the first start he is clearly green/rank, but if they just keep him clear and let him run looks like a strong entry. Either way, keeping in stable as looks live to me. Little concerned they stayed with Jock, but maybe a Baffert thing??

Yeah another likely short price. Very green in last. Shuffled/Spooked? back 4 lengths in first MSW. Then got taken well wide and came strong at 5.5F. 6F today but a little bigger field. Sometimes I get befuddled as to why jocks get boxed in trying to save ground? and they've got a ton of horse under them. If they would have just let this one run in the middle of the track would have been easy win last out.

Off to check the thread to see what you folks have for today. BOL!!

I cashed last at 5-1. Very little speed. Stabled at Maiden claiming. Cashed at MSW but came from well back late.

Think this might be a step to high?? , especially at 6F. Interesting that carrying only 114lbs. Not sure why they left in at 25K Optional Claiming?

To my untrained eye this one looks to be begging for 7-8F at a Minimum.

No short of what if's. In my younger/braver days I might have hit the .10 super. To old now but extrapolate your TRI play and $4800 super for .10?

She ran the 3 down with ease in last so don't see a challenge here. The 5 (Breeding) gives me some pause. She came from WELL back (8-10 lengths) at 38-1 to just miss the even money favorite with Chad Brown and Ortiz aboard. Doesn't appear the distance is going to hurt.

Bottom line, the only thing I see in her way is a dislike for the surface or the 5 turns out to be a monster.

Looks like a solid play to me. BOL

Well, this was like she was out for a morning stroll. I don't believe the jockey hit her or even sat down on her.

Do yourself a favor and catch the replay of the Keeneland 8.5F race. Somewhere circa 6 or 7F in the jock sits down on her and asks her to go. She put on a burst like you don't often see.

Price sux'd. I gave her out early to the board here and 3 of my friends so that probably didn't help. Bottom line here was all any novice had to do was watch her last.

I'm with you, it's one thing to lose on "maybe" at 10-1, but losing on an EVEN $ hurts much much more. I Didn't play this, but a good example would be like LAD -340 yesterday, crazy loss. BOL bro, your horses can really GO.

I often have horses at 4 or 5 to one ML that I bet early, and end up the favorite. And they seldom win at these low odds, like a stiff job. Like the trainer doesn't want to win this trip, looking to the next out for "better" odds. Those trainers can be a wily bunch.
