YES! I think it is the most profitable angle long run. The only problem is the lack of USA races on the exchanges but all in all with UK and other foreign tracks plenty of action. My best angle is to lay Morning line Fav drifters. Also I have noticed that the exchange pool on chalk is more sharp then track pools so when I see a favorite hammered in the exchanges I either back or stay off race

I'm a Horse Layer too. I focus on UK races only because markets are more liquid. I prefer to lay the early favourite in competitive races.

I have to agree with littlekona about hammaring issue. Exchange pool on chalk is sharp.

Horse Racing is the king of sports. All bets are resulted in few minutes, that's what I like about it most. You don't have to wait 2-3 hours like basket and football.

You bet a horse not to win.

The way I understand it is you get odds to bet that your horse just does not win. Nothing to do with place or show. So for example maybe you get Odds that Justify does not win the Belmont. If he wins you lose your bet. Comes in any other position and you are a winner. Betfair in NJ is legal to lay horses in US. Not sure of anywhere else.

    Thanks for the answer.

Looks like I will never bet that. Don't have that here in Nevada

I use AC88 to access betfair family and matchbook exchanges. you can lay w-p-s and also exact's (forecast) they even offer by how many lengths a favorite wins by...the exchanges are a great tool for backing too...say you like a horse that is part of entry 1 and 1A the exchange has them as separate betting interest which means you get much better odds and they are fixed
Also Fairlay offers lay bets but it is more limited....

Dam had a few tough days laying the fav in races ... Have they been winning more than usual

strike rate is about 34 % on average but these days seems higher

your thoughts gents p.s just to verify I bet mostly on USA horse tracks

perhaps its easier laying in UK

Sign up at AC88 as a bitcoin only customer..they offer 2 betfair family sites orbitx and 9wickets plus other non horse like pinny...orbitx has more markets and liquidity then 9wickets esp on USA horses...AC88 will turn btc to euro and then back to btc on withdrawl....since u are in Canada no need to vpn as Canada is ok...you can also vpn if u choose from other country Netherlands is one I’d recommend....deposits take 3 confirmation so allow about 45 mins....withdrawals are fast as hell under half hour 95% of time 7 days a week
