    R1 #3 campaign (5-1) msw $130k 1½ miles

    ran 2nd on a sloppy track at saratoga last year in his debut as a 2yo.. didn't resurface again till july at ellis park and did little in that race.. considering this guy is a 675k yearling purchase by curlin and out of a dynaformer mare (very stout and classy) they'd probably rather win here for $130k purse than take down less than ⅓ of that at ellis park (not to mention a ho-hum achievement winning there).. breaking your maiden at 1½ miles on the turf a special accomplishment and have a hunch they've been pointing towards this all along
