I am looking to make a big play on the early pick 6 on Kentucky Derby day. I want to try and get the most knowledge on the horses that will be potentially racing early on in the day. I know this is early, but I was wondering where I should be focusing my attention on handicapping races that will be leading up to the big day.

Where do most of the horses for the early races come from?

What races in particular should I be following? What tracks?

Any other tips/suggestions you have on how I can adequately handicap the majority of horse that will be racing on this day?

I am looking to spend a lot of time and effort to fully immerse myself on these horses. I'm looking to be as thorough and as detailed as I can possibly get so that I can know these horses as well as I possibly can.

imho its tough to get a head start in the undercard for derby day. think you should focus your enthusiasum in watching the potential derby horses.


but i believe most of the "good" horses in the undercard will be coming from gulfstream park.

1 thing to look for horse for course angles.
