still decent racing up to and including breeders cup in early nov. belmont fall meet which will now have a 15% takeout .50 pik 5 for those of you who like horizontal wagering. churchill not what it was but still halfway decent. of course warm weather santa anita kicks in after the dreadful and avoidable fairplex meet.(bull ring racing) small track with tight turns. gulfstream in winter ok when the good outfits ship down there. until then avoid like the plague. tampa bay also has been on an upward spiral in recent years unlike most tracks. most other offer a steady diet of claimers (hawthorne, fair grounds, oaklawn, playable with big fields. avoid at all times laurel, parx, suffolk(ugh),ohio tracks, calder, finger lakes, the 5 and 6 horse fields at golden gate. woodbine always playable until the ft erie horses start showing up in late november. be careful of the night time tracks delta,mountaineer,penn natl, charlestown (another ugh) all very cheap claimer tracks(some with good purses due to slots, but....)
