EL Camino Real Derby Golden Gate 2/18

This 1 1/8 mile race for 3 year olds is race #8 on the card. Leaning towards Handsome Mike, and might play a 10/1 morning line longshot in Cahill Chrome. There are some other interesting horses in the race, so will wait to see where the odds go.

This year's addition has one of the best fields in recent memory. Wide open race.

Looks good on paper, as he ran well in the Breeders Cup race. However, the trainer's horses are not running as well this year as last. Might play Lucky if he goes off at higher odds than Handsome Mike.

Valid Point and good insight. Gonna make a small play though with a Win small exacta 6-4, Tri 6-4-1/10 & super 6-4-1/10-1/10

Handsome Mike (121) (6-1) – ran a strong figure in a grass sprint last fall,
and even better on dirt last time, earning a big figure due to a wide (3w4w)
trip. He’s had plenty of time to recover since and O’Neill is heating up.

Cahill Chrome (121) (10-1) – is by a sire that gets late developers (note
TGI in sire profile), and this one has been getting better, running a new top
at a big price last time out. With good time since then there’s a good chance
he’ll run well again, making him a live longshot.

Bottom Line: Handsome Mike is the fastest horse and most likely winner.
Cahill Chrome is the live longshot.

Lucky Chappy (Ire) (121) (7-2) – ran well in a weak Breeders’ Cup race,
and paired that effort in Florida. He’s a little faster than most of these and
lightly raced enough to have more improvement in him, but we do note
Motion’s horses haven’t been running as well as last year.

You know T-graph has a forum also where you can discuss their analysis rather than just repeat what they said here.

Yeah, I ilke to use thorograph free info. But I did not copy verbatim. Anyhow, each to his own. I like following Jerry Brown's advice and Daily Racing form's.
