BOSTON — For once, the Bruins came home from a long trip and played road hockey, which — in their case — is a good thing.
After 56 minutes of strong skating, bruising battles and tenacious checking by all of the Bruins, Milan Lucic continued his magical season by scoring his 28th goal — and seventh game-winner — with 3:42 left to play as Boston chalked up its seventh consecutive victory, a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning last night at TD Garden.
The win snapped a tie with the Lightning and gave the Bruins sole possession of the No. 2 seed in the East — just three points behind the first-place Flyers — with 18 games remaining.
