yeah but its confusing because one guy picks one play then another guy in another thread thinks the absolute opposite.

The problem is people's opinions. Ignore them. ha.
I always struggled with hockey until I eliminated all of the favorites and then picked 'dogs. I had a great run for a good little while.
When looking at threads, tho, find one's who keep track (YTD numbers) and hop on when they get hot. Gunslinger and his partner (http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/hockey-han...nhl-picks.html) were rolling there a week or so ago, but I havent checked in on them lately.
Come check me out, too: http://www.sportsbookreview.com/forum/hockey-han...-1-7-11-a.html

Best of luck to you. Have fun.

Take at look at the NYR, Minn can't score since Koivu went down.

U should definitely look at Ottawa. No way Ottawa should be such a big dog to a team who has been sliding down the standings. Anderson has been play great lately Can't say the same for mason

Pay the money and go with the big favorites on the money line. PHI/VAN are worth paying -230 or more. Stick with this formula and you'll have a memorable time with NHL betting.

I never go anything above -130. No value as dogs can win. Like last night. Took det at -130. Drop $390 to win $300 and lost

Haha, yes but in hockey the real magic kicks in at above -200 there LeafsDucks-especially if you're new to NHL betting...

With trade deadline stress over, the unders won't stay (2-13 last 2 days) but todays card has some unusually good under matchups. Take MTR/FLA, MIN/NYR, NASH/VAN and of course WASH. Four excellent UNDERS!

bitsmitty, do you have numbers on what the records(and returns) are on the plus -200 plays? I also wonder how many of those games end up being wins in regulation vs overtime, thinking taking those teams to win in regulation may be profitable(with a little selectivity of course)

Tonight for over -200 I love the Flyers and hate the Capitals. For close to 200, both at -190 I like the Bruins and I don't like Vancouver. I think BEST bet of the night is the under, Nashville at Vancouver, two of the best goalies in the league head to head.

Lay off the heavy favs. Away favs (better odds) are hitting 70% this season (not this week however)

Haha, you guys are no fun. I took BOS/WSH/VAN tonight but on a (-0.5) gig. I personally think odds are overly slanted towards home teams where in reality a particular team's pattern of play (past five as well as the overall season and whatever else you want to throw in) should tell you the correct line. TOR tonight would be a nice payoff (and a kick in the face for PHI). Even though I despise the Leafs I took them for the cash potential. Cheers.

Leafs were the S2 play tonight. 0:34 from the biggest number 'dog hitting yet again. Eliminate the favorites, and then make some plays. When you come up really clever ways to pick from those, come share.
    Let's beat 'em together.
    holla.

bigsmitty, good call on the Leafs tonight, Philly is overated. I had the Bruins, Senators and Columbus at - .5 tonight, along with heavy on the under in the Preds/Canucks. Thought of and wished I had done a parlay of Nashville and the under.
