Let's hope that SBR lets me start a thread for once. I'll be posting my daily plays in here from now on.

Here's the lowdown on me.

I joined SBR very recently, and starting day one, I've been making a good run with my NHL plays. I've received several PMs asking me what my plays will be, and what my unit sizes are. I'll give the details on that, and then some.

I'm not actually a Doctor, but my friends call me Doc, and I actually have a couple ************ with the "Dr" designation inscribed on the card. I wanted to become a physician after highschool, but went down another path instead: business. I've seen quite the success with my two business ventures so far; both are stable and maturing businesses.

So what does a guy do when he has cash flow rolling in and, technically, not much to do during the day time? Heck, he gambles! I love to play poker, and bet on sports. Degenerate? Nope. I'm more than smart enough to lose control and I don't let me feelings get in the way. When I play poker, I never go on tilt. Likewise, when I bet on sports, I've never chased.

Don't get me wrong: even though I enjoy gambling and do so every day, I'm by no means a high roller when it comes to betting. When I play poker, I play $1-2 NL. When betting on sports, each unit only represents $100, which is my standard bet. See, with my personality, this gambling phase kind of evolved partly from the need to kill time, and partly from the thrill of the win. But like I mentioned earlier, I've got money to spend, and money rolling in. As a business person, all day, even when I'm gambling, my mind is constantly working to find niche markets that need to be serviced, or develop new business ideas.

Thanks I'd like to think of myself as smart as well. I'm considering going for my MBA next year, but nothing's official yet. Gambling is two-fold for me: a bit of a hobby, and a bit of a pass-time. I don't let gambling consume me, but I love all facets of betting on sports. So, what can ya do? Hehe

What the odds on Colorado against Min? Minnesota got all their 3 goalies injured. ANd colorado got Anderson back in net should be a sure win? As if there ever is though.... but still

Det , TB should be low odds sure winners too.

Vancouver could be tired tonight , especially with the 2 periods of going the long way to the bench, but WSH really is one of the most unconsistent teams in the NHL right now in my book.

Which true underdog tonight has a good shot at winning?

To be honest, I think Philadelphia is a good underdog play tomorrow night. Yes, Philly is on the second game of a back-to-back, but the Thrashers are inconsistent. Recently, Atlanta is 1-2-1 at home, 1-3 as a ML favourite, and only 9-8 as a favourite all season long. Philadelphia plays tough on the road (14-5-3 this season), and as a dog, they're 7-4.

As for Vancouver, boy did they stink last night. Lundqvist didn't make their job easy. I do recall that Vancouver hasn't played well against Eastern Conference teams, especially when they're an underdog. But I'd rather stay away from that game for now: Washington is not trustworthy, and you never know which team will show up (Good Caps, Bad Caps?).

Finally, New Jersey is quite possibly the worst road team in the league. 12 of their 16 road losses have come by two or more goals. Tampa Bay is one of the teams you should all be keeping your eye one. At the rate the Lightning are going at, they'll stay at the top of their division, and maybe see a brief stint at the top of the Eastern Conference. Tonight, the Doctor is prescribing a dose of revenge:

I couldn't help but to follow the line movement on this one. Having totals jump in NBA or football is a common occurrence, but when it's happening in NHL, you know something's up. Let's hope this one pays off: the Doctor is prescribing a double dose of:

I am tailing you on the over in PHI/ATL. What do you think about O3/3.5 PHI? Atlanta defense has been pretty bad lately and the Flyers always seem to be able to score freely. Even O4 PHI is tempting at the odds considering what the Leafs did there not long ago.....

I'm not a real big fan of team totals, I'd much rather make a play on the overall game. But, if you insist on playing the PHI TT over, I wouldn't take it at anything higher than 3. Even then, the line of 3 is pushing it because you're asking Philly to score 4 goals or more to cash.
