    1.13.11: HURRICANES@SABRES OVER 5.5 [+100]
Ward vs. Miller. Ward comes in off a poor performance, giving up five goals to Calgary in his last start. Overall, Ward has given up at least three goals now in six of his last eight starts. The Carolina offense has come alive of late with four goals or better in six of their last eight and three or more in seven of those eight. They have given up at least three in eight of their last ten. For Miller, he continues to struggle with at least four goals allowed in five of his last eight. He has allowed 14 goals in his last three home starts. The Sabres have scored at least two goals in nine straight. Watching for the Buffalo PP unit tonight as a key. They're not anything special, but the Hurricanes rank in the bottom portion of the league in PK.

    1.14.11: RED WINGS@BLUE JACKETS OVER 5.5 [-114]
Howard vs. Mason. Blue Jackets are struggling on defense with four goals or more given up five straight games. Mason gets his first start in a week. Five of his last seven have seen him give up at least three goals. At home, Mason's starts have hit OVERs in seven of the last ten. Howard has been a bit iffy lately too with three goals or more given up in five of his last six starts. Six of Detroit's last eight on the road have gone OVERs. Columbus has scored three or more in five straight and seven of their last eight. Columbus PK unit has been bad lately, so look for DET to do it on the job tonight if they can get the opportunities.

Should be Ward vs. Thomas. Ward has allowed at least three goals in five of his six starts in 2011. The same goes for eight of his last ten starts overall. Thomas has also not seen the greatest of days in 2011. In three of his starts, he has allowed at least three goals. The Bruins have been on a goal scoring spree lately with 19 in their last four games. Same goes for the Canes who have 23 goals scored in their last five, including four PP goals last time vs. Tampa.

    1.21.11: ISLANDERS@SABRES OVER 5.5 [-115]
Lawson vs. Miller likely. Lawson has been shaky in three of his four starts, allowing at least three goals in those three starts. Miller has been a little steadier of late, but got blasted by the Islanders for five goals two starts ago on the road. Four of Miller's last six starts at home have favored OVERs. Isles have given up at least three in seven of their last ten. Sabres have scored at least three in that same span. Buffalo PP has been hot with PP goals in eight of the last ten and five PP goals in their last three. Both PK units have struggled some late, so getting on the job tonight could yield some goals.

Mason vs. Halak. Mason has allowed at least two goals in eight straight and in nine of the last ten. On the road, Mason has given up 24 goals in his last six starts. Halak has had some troubles lately. He's allowed at least four goals in five of his last eight starts. Columbus has allowed three goals or more in six of their last seven on the road. STL has seen OVERs in four of their last six at home.

    1.24.11: BLUES@AVALANCHE OVER 5.5 [-105]
Halak vs. Budaj. The Blues come in with OVERs hitting in five of their last six on the road and five of their last seven overall. Halak has been in a rough patch with four goals allowed in six of his last ten starts. Colorado nailed him for six goals in a November road start. Budaj has also been leaking goals with at least three allowed in eight of his last ten starts. Eight of his 13 home starts have gone OVERs and the Avalanche have hit OVERs in 18 of 26 at home this season. Colorado still averages 3.3 goals per home game despite only scoring three at home in their last two games, but the Blues present a good opportunity to turn that around. Colorado ranks 2nd to last on the PK and the Blues have been inconsistent with their PKs, so PP scoring opps could be a good boost for this total.

    1.25.11: OILERS@COYOTES OVER 5.5 [-102]
Should be Dubnyk vs. Bryzgalov. Coyotes continue to be a surprise OVERs squad at home. OVERs have hit in 15 of their 22 home dates and in 15 of Bryzgalov's last 20 home starts. Overall, he's been between the pipes for seven OVERs in eight games in 2011. Dubnyk gave up five road goals to this squad earlier in the season and has seen OVERs hit in five of his eight road starts. The Oilers have given up at least three goals in eight of their last ten overall and sports the worst GAA on the road at 3.57. PHX is netting 3.13 goals per home contest. Not expecting any help from the anemic EDM PP, but PHX has found some goals lately on the job with a PP goal in three straight games. They have been more efficient on the PP at home and EDM is the worst PK unit in the league.

Thanks! Copy & paste is a mofo.

Noticing something .... since I bottomed out at my lowest at 8-13, of the next 24 selections, 14 of them were at -110 or lower with several at plus odds. Those picks went 10-4. Not afraid to go for high juice, but seems to be working in the right direction by limiting those choices.

    1.26.11: COYOTES@AVALANCHE OVER 5.5 [-110]
Bryzgalov vs. Budaj. Bryzgalov comes in off back-2-back starts where he's allowed four goals in each start and he's now allowed 13 goals in his last four starts. Ten of his last eleven starts have now gone OVERs. Budaj has allowed at least three goals in eight of his last ten starts. At home, ten of his 13 starts have gone OVERs. Colorado has seen OVERs in 19 of 27 at home this season and in six straight on home ice. They have seen OVERs in eight of their last ten overall. In those eight, the Avalanche have given three or more goals. Coyotes now have a PP goal in four straight and could take advantage of an inconsistent Avalanche PK unit. Colorado ranks 7th on the job, but they have been a bit off lately. Double check on Bryzgalov starting before making this. It's probable, but not confirmed. If he doesn't start, I won't be on this.

    2.4.11: OILERS@BLUES OVER 5.5 [+100]
Dubnyk vs. Conklin the likely match-up in goal. Dubnyk has been fairly solid in his starts, but Edmonton is still poor on the road with a 3.52 GAA on the season. In Dubnyk's nine road starts, seven have hit for OVERs. Conklin has been hit or miss with his last two starts before the break yielding ten goals. Seven of his eleven starts this season have hit for OVERs. Seven of STL's last ten games have seen them yield at least four goals. For EDM, they have given up at least three goals or more in nine of their last ten overall.

Looks like Khabibulin vs. Mason. Mason comes in off his best performance by far, a shutout of the Red Wings on the road. Still, his numbers this season are poor and he's been beaten for eight goals in two starts vs. EDM this season. One good with just two goals given up, the other saw him leak in six goals. These remain two of the worst defenses in the league with both giving up at least three goals per game. EDM has now seen at least three goals scored against them in nine straight. Columbus has been a little steadier, but prior to their shutout of Detroit, they gave up seven to Chicago and have given up at least three goals in six of their last seven at home. Khabibulin has given up at least three goals in eight straight starts and gave up three in his only start vs. COL. Mason has given up at least two in eleven of his last 12. Both PP units are poor, but both PK units are not good so PP opportunities could yield some help tonight although in their two meetings there have been just three PP goals in 19 opportunities.

Should be Conklin vs. Ellis. Conklin's last seven road starts have all ended in OVERs. Blues are giving up more than 3.5 GA on the road this season while Tampa scores 3.4 goals per home start. Ellis will be making his first start since the All-Star break. He was solid in his last start before the break, but his home starts have been a beacon for goals with his last four at home going OVERs. Overall, Ellis has given up at least three goals in four of his last six starts. STL has given up three goals or more in eight of their last ten. TB's PP needs to do work on STL today with the Blues still one of the leakier PK units.

    2.7.11: THRASHERS@MAPLE LEAFS OVER 5.5 [-125]
Pavelec vs. Giguere. Pavelec has been ordinary over this last three starts, giving up three goals or more in each. On the road, five of his seven starts in 2011 alone have gone OVERs. In two starts vs. TOR, he has given up eight goals this season. ATL remains the worst road GAA in the league at 3.59 per game. OVERs have hit in 18 of their 27 on the road. In their three games since the break, they have allowed four goals in each. Giguere has one start since the break, giving up three in a 4-3 home win over FLA followed by allowing a goal in relief against Buffalo two days ago. He has allowed at least two goals in seven of his last ten starts with three or more goals in his last three. TOR has given up at least three goals in six of their last ten overall. Both PPs have been ugly lately, but face leaky PK units [especially TOR] that can give up PP goals by the bunch.

    2.8.11: BLUES@PANTHERS OVER 5.5 [+120]
Halak vs. Voukoun. Halak is back between the pipes after missing a few games due to injury. Before the break, Halak had been having a rough go of it with four goals allowed in seven of his previous ten starts. On the road, Halak has seen OVERs hit in four of his last five starts. Vokoun has seen two starts since the break, allowing three goals in each. He's now allowed three or more goals in seven of his last ten. FLA has allowed three or more goals in seven of their last ten oeverall. The Blues remain one of the worst road GAA teams in the NHL, allowing 3.69 per road game. They have allowed at least three goals in eight of their last ten overall and five of their last six road games. Road OVERs have hit in seven of nine for STL. Both teams have been scoring better since the break with STL netting eight goals in two games and FLA scoring nine in three games. FLA should have a chance to do work on the PP tonight against a poor STL PK unit.
