    7:30 PM EST - Washington Capitals -155

After going 2-0 yesterday, looking to extend my record to 3-0 with this easy pick.

Washington Capitals only -155 against the awful Thrashers. This pick is a steal if you ask me, Capitals have the biggest chip on their shoulders this season and they do not care who they are playing, they are going to roll over any team that gets in their way of the Stanley Cup Finals this season. Yes they are starting Michal Neuvirth in net tonight, but the Capitals are also facing Ondrej Pavelec in net for the Thrashers <-

Thrashers have new additions yes, but none that can make up Ilya Kovalchuk and Maxim Afinogenov, and for that, the thrashers will have another down hill season. Compare players on paper, the Capitals have too many weapons for this not to be an easy winner.

Capitals - Ovechkin, Semin, Backstrom, Green, Knuble
Thrashers - Antropov, (Eager, Byfuglien) Also with Byfuglien playing back on defense for the first time in years, he is expected to struggle, it is going to take him a few games to adjust to the position once again.

    Washington Capitals -155 (5 units)

I remember when Pavalec stoned the Senators for 40+ saves and a shutout, he even saved a couple shots without a helmet. But I agree. this should be lights out hockey in favor of the Caps. It is so important for them to start the season off with a win after how it ended last year.

The Sens don't have players like Ovie, Semin, Backstrom, Green, Knuble

    I wish!

No, but in all honesty, that game was just one of those days. I'm a little surprised the caps are only -150 or so. I was expecting 200 or so.

The Pens are not what they were two years ago, they lost Guerin and Gonchar two major key factors for that team. Fleury is not what he was two years ago either, hes getting worse and worse. It is time Bylsma takes a hike as well, worse coach I ever saw right next to Ken Hitchcock

And plus Bobravsky stole the show last night, Malkin and Crosby were frustrated all night.

Mason always plays good against the caps, its a proven fact. After the Pavalec collapse, I knew this game was a loser....Oh well what can ya do?

    Get them tomorrow

I think you meant to say worst coach and not worse coach but Ken Hitchcock is one of the most accomplished and respected coaches of the last 20 years.

Guerin and Gonchar = major key factors? LOL! Well Guerin just got cut by your Flyers and Gonchar is Mister Olé.

Then you top that nonsense by claiming your "easy pick", the Caps last night, really only lost because the starting goalie for the winning team was replaced. Did you even watch the game? You were on the wrong side big time.

I can't understand why you guys even bet in October. You're much better off watching as many games as possible (no, not highlights) and getting a sense of what has changed over the summer.

It's laughable seeing all the semi/barely-educated guesswork being posted the past few days.
