    Amateur Question

    Hey guys,

With football season coming to a close, I'm going to attempt to dabble with 0.5u bets in the NBA and NHL despite knowing little about the NBA, and next to nothing about the NHL. Quick question.

If a game ends in regulation at 3-3, the NHL states that the team that wins the SO wins the game 4-3. Is the total of the game considered to be 6 or 7? Thanks.

It would be considered 7 goals.

No problem, just ask away if you need any help. The hockey forum is the best for people to answer any question you have regardless of how simple it may seem. Good luck to you.

    outdrawed.

There are books that offer bets on reulation time only, but to the best of my knowledge those are only for MLs and -0.5 PLs. I don't think I have seen Totals for reg only.

    LT,

I'm betting at SIA mostly and a little bit at bodog as well. How can I find out which books grade based on regulation or OT included? Should that info be included in the bet?

different books have different ways of putting it. 5dimes are all ot included but if you look you'll find lines based on 60 minutes. I would check the "rules" section of the sportsbook and it should list how the games are graded.

For NHL most books are OT included unless it says otherwise, for euro hockey it's regulation time. I"ve never played at SIA so I'm not sure about their rules.

    outdrawed,

Let me rephrase, some books give you the OPTION of betting reg. only. The "Normal" NHL lines are graded OT included, and all the top books have that. But some have an added section for "Regulation Only" with separate, slightly different lines. Then you have 5 Dimes, which lists all lines on one page, be it full time, reg time and alt lines. If you check there NHL lines late in the day, there is like 25 different lines per game (LOL).
