A Pointless NHL Rant. Teams that go up 1-0, seem to always lose.

I know it is part of the game, and things usually even out in the long run. It just seems every NHL team I pick this season, and some of last, they go up 1-0 and end up losing the game. If they don't score to make it 2-0, they end up losing. I actually hope the opposing team scores first. (It is almost the same way in baseball.)

What sparked this rant? The Islanders tonight. They go up 1-0 in the 1st period, and just gave up 3 unanswered goals in the 2nd period.

*As I was typing this, the Islanders scored to make it 3-2 Thrashers at the end of 2*

On the other side of this. It is actually working in my favor. I took the Avalanche tonight and they go down 1-0 after the 1st. They score 3 unanswered goals to go up 3-1 at the end of 2.

So let me ask the trends and stat guys out there. Anyone know what the numbers are on this? Would be interesting to know.

4 goals in the 3rd period by the Blue Jackets.

Sorry Louis, I think I did jinx them when I mentioned that game.
