niemi had a terrible final along with leighton. i think niemi was a product of an extremely good defence. huet to the rescue you say? ha! overpayed and inconsistent!

I'm a Hawks fan and I liked what Niemi did last year but you never know what you're gonna get in year 2. Turco's a steady vet who played on a bad team last year. took less $$ to go to Hawks, I bet he's stoked and will be revived for 2010-2011. Bottom line though is cap issues is why he Niemi was allowed to walk.

Yann Danis who went to the KHL because of a lack of opportunities is a damn fine goalie. Id have signed him instead of Turco and Toivinen.
