    Cup Odds

The Ducks this year to win the Cup is a total suckers bet with all the offseason stuff that they have endured. I think the Penguins +1215 might not be a bad bet this year.

I'd lean towards the Sharks this year. I think they have all the ingredients for a cup run. They have come close the past few years in the Conference finals. I think this could very well be the year they go all the way.

The pens don't have enough experience yet. Plus, I think Therrien made a mistake making Crosby captain, he doesn't have anywhere near the experience required for a captain at his age. Crosby should have earned the captaincy, but it was given to him on a silver platter.

First of all, i find it laughable that the Leafs are the same price as the one season removed from championship Hurricanes. Living in toronto it's obvious to anyone here that they have no shot. And being a huge Hurricane fan, i know enough about that team to know that at 30-1 they have great value. Not saying they will win but i'll take 30-1. I'd also look at Atlanta at 22-1. In the west, i don't find as much value with the only one i'd consider being Vancouver at 16-1. With Luongo, anything is possible!

    You're joking right?

I admit he is young, but I think he has earned it with his fine play. Let's face it. He leads by example and is less "mouthy" than his rookie season.

I couldn't agree any more with your comments on this.

Toronto has absolutely no shot at winning the Cup this year at all, and the odds should be a lot longer than they are currently.

I went by elimination process and i like Ottawa's chances this year...

We all know Ottawa have one of the best team in the NHL but never could reach the stanley cup final until last season.
Nice mix of youngsters and veterant..Probably the most talented team in the NHL.
Might not have a strong defence as Anaheim but they might know a little better what it takes to raise the cup this year.
Emery must make a stand this year and show everyone hes for real!

I hope Emery bombs. I think Gerber is a much better goalie who just had a bad year. In fact his numbers were not horrible. Just that Emery got hot and Gerber lost the starters job. If LA were smart they would go after Gerber. In fact Phoenix should have gone after him.

Cmon lol Gerber is and will ever be a #2..hes been impressive only 1 season with Carolina but hes not a true #1 in the NHL IMO..
Emery is younger much more talented goalie..you just cant compare both goalies

Sure you can. They have almost identical save % and GAA.

What i mean is that you compare an old goalie that allways been #2 in the NHL gerber is 33yo vs emery 25 yo
Emery just started last year as a #1 with a GAA of 2.47 and SV % of .918
The only season Gerber was #1 he had a GAA of 2.78 and SV% of .906... and did nothing in the playoffs that season replaced by Ward...
What i meant is that you cant compare a young goalie that still have his best seasons in front of him and a 33y/o goalie that has been mostly #2 all his carreer

pitt has no defense just like rangers, i dont get what people see in a team that has no defense...during the season u can only win so many 6-4, 5-4 games...need to find a balanced team i really dont know who that is but rangers and pitt to one dimensional
