NHL Friday night Game 7: Vegas vs Vancouver

    Friday Sept.4 - Playoffs Round 2 - Game 7

    VEGAS -220 ML// 8.80 units to win 4.00

Disclaimer: This is partially a hedge play on my Vancouver futures tickets AND I'm very torn on this game, making more than one case for each team. So default fallback on logic. Vegas is the better team with the stronger players. The back-to-back is harder on the Vancouver position players for the style of game they play.

If we look ahead to the Conference championships round, who will be the Final Four teams? We already know 2 of them: Dallas and Tampa Bay. Two of the best in the league. Vancouver doesn't fit in the same group, Vegas does.

    Keep it simple.

Knights will throw everything at Demko but can they score?

I forgot to mention that Vegas has the less injured players of the 2 squads

Dallas started very slow in the regular season (almost a year ago the actual season started!)

1-7-1 record to start the season

    36-13-5 after that thru Feb.25

0-4-2 in the final 6 games of the regular season, until the virus pandemic forced the stop in play

Vancouver has managed to get 1 shot so far

Although that can be more challenging for a goalie to be ready when they do begin firing

the way the series has gone, Vegas disrespected and underestimated Vancouver early on, which caused the Canucks to play with a bigger chip on their shoulder, plus got the surprise great play from the goalie Demko

No more underestimating at this point

Canucks would have to win this 1-0 on a breakaway or powerplay
