Left winger James van Riemsdyk signed with the Philadelphia Flyers on Sunday, inking a five-year contract worth a reported $35 million.....he had a great year for toronto last year....signed tavarez but lost a 30 plus goal scorer.

There are plenty of good teams in the east...toronto improves..but tampa..boston..pittsburgh..washington..c olumbus... are very strong.

I think tavares is overrated..but hes going to a much better team. But they lost a guy who scores over 30 goals...its a plus..but maybe not huge

Problem is games are not played on paper. Tampa...boston..washington...pittsburgh. .. toronto...these are all very good teams. Injuries...trades...etc...are part of why the game is played on ice.
