    Was there any rule changes to NHL?

    Each time i checked the score so far during the pre-season, its higher than average....

    was there any new rule changes coming into this season?

    Faceoff violation resulting into 2 min penalty. Though they have toned it down already and I doubt we will see this rule in the regular season.
