Few Days off, been working like crazy recently (snow removal), excited for Spring. Let's keep this going. Happy with results so far, positive records in both major sports, NFL done, looking forward to a very profitable 2017 season. Record doesn't show it, but our 2u plays have been absolute money this season so far.

Ottawa Senators vs. New Jersey Devils // Feb 16

Eastern clash

The Ottawa Senators (29-19-6) are second in the Atlantic Division and they face-off in New Jersey to take on the Devils (24-22-10). The Devils are outside the playoff picture at the moment but are still in the hunt for a Wild Card position.

Gladiator games

The Sens are 4-4-2 in their last 10 games and have tied the Boston Bruins with 64 points for second in the Atlantic. The Sens have taken advantage of the Montreal Canadiens’ poor play and have closed the gap to within six points of first in the division.

On the road this season, the Sens are 13-10 and will be on the road for six of their next seven games. They need to continue their above .500 play if they want to keep their playoff cushion. The Sens have been middle of the pack in goals for and against this season. They average 2.6 (18th) per game while giving up 2.7 (13th).

Dancing with the Devil

The Devils are fighting for a Wild Card spot with a closer of teams in front of them, but they are in no way out of contention. They are five points behind the Toronto Maple Leafs for the second Wild Card spot with 26 games to go.

The Devils are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and 12-10-4 at home this season. The Devils aren’t going anywhere if their play at home doesn't improve. They are 2-5 in their last seven home games and five of their next six games are in New Jersey. The Devils’ biggest problem—as per usual with every Devils team in recent history—is their offensive output. They are 29th in the league in scoring and only manage 2.3 points per game.

The Final Breakdown

The Senators are 6-14 in their last 20 when playing in New Jersey. The Devils badly need to turn things around when playing at home. I think they squeeze out a win here in what should be a low scoring affair. If the Senators were starting Anderson, maybe i'd have a harder time going against them. Condon in? Chalk it up as a 'W' for the Devils.
