Think both a first and 2nd round out. Especially if Fleury plays like recent years in net during playoffs

Sworder I always wanted to ask you- As a Bolts fan, what are your feelings about Callahan/St. Louis trade? I always thought it was a bad trade for TB and NYR clearly benefited more from having Martin on their team. The guy was a clutch player especially in the playoffs last year, even after his mother's death.

Do Lightning fans feel the same?

Bad trade? Absolutely not. Everybody in Tampa loved St. Louis, but he's the one who wanted to be traded (to New York specifically). It's well known in inner circles that he'd been pushing for a trade for a few years. If anything, people here felt betrayed. The Lightning gave him a shot when nobody else would and he became a hall of famer, and was rewarded handsomely. I/we understand it's a business and don't begrudge anyone getting what they can and working where they want to work. Our problem with it was the timing, there were 20 games left in the season with the Bolts pushing for the playoffs. Everyone here felt like he abandoned his teammates. As it worked out, the Lightning got more than they would have had they traded him in the off-season. Callahan is younger, resigned, and we got a couple of draft picks. With time comes perspective .

    Splits (goals/assists/points) - Callahan 24/30/54, St. Louis 21/31/52.

Callahan gave us what we needed, a guy willing to grind and get in front of the net. Guys like Tyler Johnson have more than made up for the points lost with Marty. Highest scoring team in the league buddy .

Good luck with your playoff picks

I hear ya...split stats mean shit though imo, when NYR made it to the Finals last year (where St Louis played a hell of a roll) and Lightning...well we all know what they did last year.

I gotcha, just listed them to give a comparison. How about head to head? Lightning 3-0, combined score of 15-7. Including 5-1 and 6-3 @ NY. Come on RR, throw me a bone

(I know, I know, playoffs a different kettle of fish)

As a Rangers fan comparing head to head success versus playoff success is just stupid.. But I guess it's all you got on us

Your biggest bet of the year shouldn't be on something as variable as the NHL playoffs.

It was said tongue in cheek, hence the playoff comment. That said, with Boston out I'll take the Bolts against anybody in the East. They struggle with big, physical teams. Their speed kills the rest. Enjoy the playoffs.

Healthy Bishop this year. I think Tampa can go deep in playoffs

Don't forget, Bolts were without Bishop against Montreal. That played a "small" role. Lindback was a sieve. Little different story this year.

I think Nicky had a similar vision about the Canadiens a few years back. Seeweed do you live in East LA, but have stop signs in your neighborhood that say stop in French?
