Inhabitants/Penguins

The Montreal Canadiens will fly into Pittsburgh today try and erase the memory of their Saturday night loss against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Penguins on the other hand are going through a similar obstacle, as they will look to forget just getting blown out by the second worst team in the East.

So let's face it..both teams should be motivated here. Canadiens Coach Michel Therrien, who is familiar with coaching Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby, has revealed that the gameplan tonight will be to limit the available space of the Penguins forwards. Recent history has proven that when teams come in with the main focus being to shut down Pittsburgh's dynamic duo, it usually results in a very low scoring game.

Despite both teams seeing both of their last two games go over, this one is heavily favored to stay under. In all honesty, Montreal allowed their emotions to overcome their normal defensive routine in their last two games, being from which those games were against long time Eastern Canadian rivals. Tonight, they should be more focus to play under their basic fundamentals, because the world knows that they would be stupid to try and run and gun with arguably the best offense in hockey.

Penguins Captain Sidney Crosby has also admitted that the Penguins have not been playing their best hockey as of late in terms of puck management in their own zone. He mentioned that the team is well aware that Montreal is a forechecking team, and the Penguins will have to be smart in their own zone tonight...unlike their last game where they lost 5-1 to the lowly Panthers.

In essence, both teams know that they will have to be responsible in order to bounce back from their losses. The last meeting between these two (back in November) saw a tight 3-2 Habs win, therefore, Montreal knows that they can beat Pittsburgh by shutting down their offense.
