    Apparent terms of clowe deal

RT @PollakOnSharks: Plus NYR 2014 2nd-round pick if Clowe re-signs or they win 2 playoff rounds. If neither happens, #SJSharks gets 5th ...

He's a hell of a player don't be fooled by the stats. A gritty, talented two way forward who is exactly the type of guy you want in the playoffs.

I heard he had a riff with Thornton and others in the dressing room so that's why they were looking to unload him quick.

Canucks saying they are looking to make 2, 3 or even 4 moves today.

    Lets see if it happens

They need to do something. Losing Mulholtra, Booth and Kesler is so huge for the Canucks and despite that, they are still hanging in there but aren't as dangerous offensively anymore.

Malhotra was never an offensive threat and Booth has been a plug since he came to VAN. Kesler will be back in a week as well. Nucks need another top 6 winger ideally now then they're set.

I know Maholtra isn't an offensive threat but he is a feisty guy and a leader

yup. He will be a Leaf within the next 2 hours in all likelihood and the Leafs could go a long ways in the playoffs if they get him

I don't think he will go anywhere. Gillis is expecting far too much for him.

    Finally a somewhat significant trade!

Jussi Jokinen to the Miami H..... Pittsburgh Penguins!

1 hour and 10 minutes before the deadline, the Canucks just went on the ice for practice at Rogers Area but Roberto Luongo isn't on the ice

what does that mean? Maybe nothing.

MIN just pulled Johan Larsson and Matt Hackett off the ice amid spec - still unconfirmed - they could be traded. Lots of Pominville spec.

Interesting. We, as fans, never really know all the behind the scenes stuff that factors into these deals. Personally, i think the reason that the Bruins are without Thomas (best goalie in nhl) is because they are pissed off that he's conservative. Massachusetts is the #1 liberal state in the country. They didn't tolerate his public criticism about Obama's spending being out of control, and the liberals got very angry and they wanted to dump him. He took year off, got suspended, and traded. How much of the bad blood caused him to take the year off? For the Bruins perspective, who should care if he is conservative? He kept it off the ice and went out there and won every night. He was unbelievable. Always clutch and making huge unbelievable saves late in the game and in overtime. He single-handedly dominated the 2011 playoffs and won the Bruins the cup practically by himself. Thomas never quit in the 3rd like Rask has. The Bruins kick the best goalie in the nhl off the team because they're pissed off that he's not an obama-liberal. Over 50 million people in America are republican. Wake up.

Canucks have two #1 goalies, picked up Roy yesterday ,Kesler coming back in a week and Booth in 3. No complaints here.

Luongo will be traded in the off season but no deal out there was good enought for Gillis to pull the trigger. Smart.

no doubt but like Lu said today "my contract sucks" but his certainly isn't the only contract in history to suck. Yashin and Depietro come to mind. Except Lu is a #1 goal and would be for a dozen or so teams in the league. Vancouver has a problem like they have never had before. They have two #1 goalies and both want to play.

Lu will not be a Canuck next season.
