    NHL: Detroit Red Wings Play In Anaheim Back To Back? Unreal.

    I know this is a shortened season... but damn... I don't recall ever seeing anything like this? Any other teams that this happens too? This is very weird. Who has the advantage?

    NHL probably wants to save a few bucks on jet fuel, so they keep the visiting team stay in the same city 2 nights in a row. Remember, it's a shortened season. Next season will be better; Detroit moves to the east.

    Teams have their own planes. The reason this is happening is because Detroit's barn was being used for the CCHA and Philly's barn was being used for the NCAA Tourney. Its not rocket science to figure out.
