This is the first year that I have dabbled in NHL investing. I am a huge fan of the sport but I am unfamiliar with total lines being juiced so incredibly but the lines makers not budging on the number. In baseball I'll see unders being juiced overnight at lets say 6 under -130 & the next morning it'll being 5.5 -110 in hockey I continually am waiting for the drop from 5.5 -130, 135 even 140 and it just never does. What is the reasoning behind this? Is there a way to avoid paying so much juice in the future?
Thanks for any help MILK
It is because a half point is worth more in hockey than in baseball. That means that the juice has to be very high before they can justify a change in the total. In fact they rarely change a hockey total.
