I didn`t mean to be rude Crate. You are missing the point of the thread. It doesn`t matter if the team is good or bad, that`s why it`s called fade them or bet them, it`s the task to win money by knowing when they are going to win or not. If I had a thread of a good team ( let`s say the sharks who haven`t lost a game in the season) it probably wouldn`t be profitable in the long run to bet them as winners always, because the lines are juiced up (from -160 to -200 probably), so the task at hand would be to bet them when they are going to cover the puck line or fade them when they are going to lose and the juice of the other team is not high. It works the same way if your thread is with a terrible team, you can`t just fade them always because the juice is going to be very high if you bet for the favorite. So you have to bet them as underdogs when you see them in good spot for a public burial. And that is the fun and difficulty of it.

This year, Boucher's approach seems to be different, trapping function is largely gone or so it seems because it didn´t happened last game vs. Philly (Jan 27th). But trap or no trap scheme, Tampa Bay is averaging 4.88 goals per game. They also have the top power play at 36.1 percent. TB has three players in the Top 10 in scoring. The Flyers' leading scorer, Matt Read, has 7 points in comparison.

The bottom line is that Flyers suck against Tampa, whatever the Lightning have done against the Flyers, it's worked.

So for me it´s a no brainer.

I think the flyers are a good bet today, tampa has had the benefit of playing alot of home games early in the season so their stats are slightly padded. I think the books opening this line at -120 says it all. This should of been -110/-110 or tampa slightly favored
