Any notable NHL'ers on any of these teams? they need to get the damn lockout over with! So disappointing to not have the NHL dropping the puck this week.

Ovie and Chara are the biggest draws but there is also:
F - Jakub Voracek to Lev Praha 18G, 31A for Philly **could be sidelined for about four weeks because of a sprained right knee
D - Zdeno Chara to Lev Praha 12G, 40A for Boston
C - Erik Christensen to Lev Praha 9G, 6A for NYR / AHL / Minnesota ** tied for the goal scoring lead in the KHL 10/6/12.

For those that don't have ESPN, you can also stream them here: http://www.stopstream.tv/

I've had to get my hockey fix from Europe as well. So far, at least 134 players have jumped the pond to play.

I have seen a few of these games and it just makes me miss NHL alot more, what is the average attendance at these games? They seem to be played before half empty arenas, like an Islanders game on a Saturday afternoon.

KHL attendance woes reveal little threat to NHL

02:35 PM ET 03.23 | The Kontinental Hockey League may have the deep pockets to lure Ilya Kovalchuk or other free agents to Mother Russia this summer, but it sure isn't filling them with box office gold. Attendance figures released Monday by the International Ice Hockey Federation reveal the NHL's supposed rival is averaging just 5,474 tickets sold per game. That figure places the Russians behind the top leagues of Sweden, Switzerland and Germany, and just ahead of the Czech Republic, among the most popular draws in Europe. SKA St. Petersburg leads the circuit in attendance, but draws just 9,400 fans per night, less than 75 percent of capacity. Avangard Omsk, employer of Jaromir Jagr, is next at 9,202. After that, the numbers start to drop precipitously. Just 11 of 24 teams reportedly attracted as many as 5,000 paying customers per game, putting the KHL on par with the American Hockey League. Sponsorships continue to keep the KHL financially viable, but a legitimate threat to the NHL? The numbers don't lie.

-Big business, Oil companies etc own the teams - some have very deep pockets.
