Play the Wild Tuesday night when they host the Canucks in Minnesota.
There are high expectations in Minnesota this season, particularly when the Wild are off to their first 2-0 start in team history.
A big reason for the early success has been that the power play has really been clicking. In fact, the Wild tied a team record with five power play goals in their last game and lead the league with a 45.5% conversion rate.
Vancouver won its first two games but gave up a late goal to lose 3-2, at Colorado, on Sunday. The Canucks may be starting to get a bit road weary as they'll be playing their fourth straight road game. The Wild, who have yet to leave Minnesota, defeated the Canucks the last time (12/31/05) that the teams faced each other here. Looking back further and we find the Wild at 5-2-1 the last eight times they hosted the Canucks.
Look for home ice to be the difference again this evening as Minnesota earns the two points and remains undefeated.
