and WAS, I'll just say I think CAR has a rough pair of games
to open their schedule and like MTL, I get a feeling in my gut they might go 0-2 to open. Like you say in your NJ breakdown, Devils greatest problem isn't on the ice, it's cap
steering. At least CAR will host them, but then the following night it's off to WAS where I see them having some potential
problems back-to back, though it is early in the season and the back-to-back thing probably plays out as less of a factor . . .
It's the same in most sports - last year's champs have the
added problem of everyone gunning for them . . . I like BUF
to be up for it. CAR woeful pre-season record is irrelevant
obviously but BUF will be playing with payback on their minds
and that can be a powerful motivator . . .
