Why are so many NHL cappers on this board untailable yet NBA cappers here are...

with out a doubt better than most of the NHL cappers here. Results on the multiple threads proves my point.

So many of the cappers on this NHL board put out multiple picks a day. Chase losses, have bad organizing skills... and basically put up so many picks and have records so close to 50% that if you were flat betting alot of these guys you'd be broke.

yet I see plenty of good cappers in the NBA forum. I'd love to be proven wrong and be pointed in the direction of a good consistent NHL capper on this board.

I haven't been posting my plays, but this week NHL has been the only thing that's keeping me above water from my NBA bets. I'm down for giving it a shot.

Because STL has won their last 7 home games by more than 1.5 goals, and vs some very good teams.

Wrong thread, I'm up 60 units since Jan1, I just stopped posting picks for people because it becomes a hassle. DG's thread is worth tailing, but he plays 1P overs, TT, and sometimes prop bets so if you're book doesn't offer those, he's not worth tailing.

I've been tracking DG since the beginning of December and this season to be blunt: He is only worth tailing when he is hot otherwise he is totally useless, especially wit hthe way he posts his picks. Which is fine he isn't asking anyone to tail him + he doesn't even update his daily record. So independable.

Doesn't seem like there is even 1 seasonal thread in the NHL forum that is comparable to some of the top NBA cappers this season.

Gottiboy had a nice record this season but he buried himself after he started posting elsewhere and stopped posting picks, also doesn't post here anymore.

Private messages telling me there are no good NHL cappers.... but the people with the shut the **** up comments felt the need to make their opinion public to me- ultra sensitive type of people- they felt the need to be ultra negative and insult me for making an accurate observation. Thanks fellas.

You drunk? I made an observation on how this season is going for people with seasonal NHL threads- nothing about my comment was rude but it's okay degenerates are usually rude so I know you have to have thick skin if you are talking to another gambler. Nothing I said was about my NHL capping skills, which are virtually non existant.

H1, I have noticed that season tracking does not mean anything. A couple of guys with respectable sbr tracking sheets easily outdo several of the regular play threads. I have made it a point to not visit SBR before I cap and get my bets in. Case in point, if I would have logged in today and visited Players Talk, I would have been a deer in headlights because Landers was on Ohio and Lakerboy was on Kansas. I would not have been able to lock in my Kansas +3 play.

good, consistent cappers that make picks all the time don't exist in any sport

taking bonuses and/or picking spots is the only way to show a profit over a decade

In response to the above, every play is updated daily on my spreadsheet so I am not hiding shit. People are just too lazy to click the mouse a few times and find stuff. Just did a full update. I do have a life outside of SBR believe it or not, fell behind with overall numbers.

And in response to your question :

Hockey's harder to win consistently obviously. I've seen maybe 2 guys (Sawyer/Gottiboy) ever that are able to hit 55% of higher over the course of a full year (100+ plays). I did a couple years ago but since have been hitting 50-52% a year. Win/loss record doesn't matter. Hockey is not a good flat betting sport unless you are just betting +125 or higher dogs all year long. I'm like 20 games under .500 this year but still up 20 units. It's a grind you aren't gonna win every week and month of the year.

It's all about profit in the end. If you want a pretty record you pick your spots and have 100 or less plays a year. Myself, personally I am a volume gambler (degenerate) so I'm not gonna be hitting a high % with 500+ plays a year.

Also some general advice do not bet the first few months of the season (unless you're just betting ugly dogs) as it's extremely volatile and unpredictable. The last two weeks of the season it's easy to hit 55% or higher as it becomes a lot easier to predict. And playoff series bets are where the big cash is.

Lakerboy, you have led more people astray than the devil himself. Posters would do well to make their plays before reading one of your threads. We both got lucky on our Kansas plays tonight. The differene between you and I is you attention whored yourself and stated that Kansas plus the points was one of the easiest plays of the tourney. Clearly not the case.

whos the NBA tailable cappers? cause all ive seen so far is JohnRyan.

You say its hard to tail NHL cappers, but most cappers dont even post their +/- rating, so how would you even know which guys are profitable?

You got me on that spreadsheet thing *puts hands up*. I never said you were hiding anything. This thread wasn't meant to target you man.

Sounds like you pretty much agree with me though. I didn't mean to insult, but even you hint in your reply that you are untailable due to the volume of plays when you aren't hot.

Again though- no part of your thread says hey tail me. Yes my thread is about records, and there are other ways to show profit. I didn't mention anything about long or short term profit in my thread though. I did say flat betting most of the NHL cappers vs the NBA cappers this season would get you broke a lot faster in the NHL. Gonna stand by that comment. Season to season things can change.

Not even targeting you DG- I was talking about all the threads in the NHL forum vs the NBA threads. And yes I like pretty records lol.

That bold paragraph- would explain- why I- with little knowledge in the NHL- have been picking nothing but winners the past 2 weeks.... and before that was tracking my plays and was clueless.

Lol at the comment about Lakerboy. Somewhat of an accurate depiction though, the devil thing.

Tailable NBA cappers: billyuni, LTA. Both post their picks early- have a solid tracked record for flat betting purposes. Both have shown profit over the season and if you use discipline you would be up tailing both of these two since the start of the season.

I myself know something about streaks I'm hitting 65% in the NBA over 70+ picks but I'm streaky as hell myself. Alot of the bets are exotic but 65% over 70+ picks I'd love to see someone else do that, and some are doing it like billyuni who is just at 62%+ playing point spreads in the NBA.

There are a couple of others with solid % in the NBA forum but difficult to tail. I haven't found 1 NHL thread worth tailing except for the Gottiboy thread(and he was undisciplined, pitched a great percentage for the season and let a down month bury him), most of them are hardly worth tracking at all.

dennisgreen is profitable over the season

and i am unable to find billyuni.

so, just to be the devils advocate, youve posted 1 profitable NBA capper, and ive posted 2 nhl ones

I actually should have clarified. Wallco isn't even in the discussion he's using a system that has been tracked and is a proven winner. His percentage is horrible, and he isn't even capping the games- he is just using a system that he has proven to be a winner.

Wallcos system requires alot of money management skills, and a sizable bankroll to show some real profit though. His percentage is likely horrible(but again system).

I posted 2 profitable NBA cappers. If you include my thread that is 3, and you said John Ryan. That makes 4 flat betting threads- if I assume you were correct on Ryan.

Dennisgreen is not profitable if you flat bet so you are not doing a good job being devils advocate. He even admitted as much in this very thread.

3 flat betting threads in the NBA vs 0 for the NHL. You've given me 0 sir.

Was just trying to get the most out of the conversation.

Didnt know DG wasnt profitable if youre flat betting. But i thought all betters varied their bets in terms of their units, because thats supposed to be the best betting system isnt it? Maybe im getting the terminology wrong.

I cant find Billyuni. Your thread is profitable, from what i see, yes. I just assumed JohnRyan was profitable since hes got a big thread with tons of people posting on it.

Wasnt disagreeing with you, i just think its always important to bring up all opposing views, to get the most out of the conversation.

edit: i cant even find your thread now to see if youre profitable

Yes. And it was my job to retort. I guess I text aggressively lol. I'm liking this give me a chance to prove my point =p.

Here is billys, wish he would post in 1 thread. But I am guessing since he wants to go tout- he is posting 1 a day thread to see how much traffic his 1 thread can put out. Smart if that is what he is doing. Great way to gauge how much interest you might gain if you were to charge. Meanwhile, get in on the money he is handing out assuming he sustains it or don't, I'm not advertising for him =p.

He's been posting almost every day. He is doing well this season and several third party can attest to it. Also if you look at his posts(under his name click on posts)- you'll see he posts his picks daily.

Last i saw LTA was up 5 units on a 140 picks or so. So after three months he is up $500 lets say. Thats worth all the hassle of searching?

Me & Lakerboy do not spend countless hours researching specific teams. No more than we waste time watching games we bet on.

Okay felt like a somewhat targeted attack since I am the most active regular on the hockey forum. Yeah I agree I'm not profitable most years if I was to flat bet since I bet -150 chalk sometimes. But as you said I'm not looking for blind tailers I even strongly recommend against it before the season starts

Hockey is the most volatile sport to bet IMO so it's tough to beat flat betting over the course of a season.
