    Leans for the day

    Dal/Pho - Under 5.5 -120
    - DAL is on a 6 game losing streak, are 14-22 on the road, 7-14 in division games, and are riddled with injuries right now. PHO is better at home, but still can't score consistently, regardless if Turco/Tobias is in net for DAL.

    NJD/NYR - Under 5.5 -135, NYR to win -110
    - Two strong goalies, and the Devils have trouble scoring on the road. NYR are 4-1 in their last 5 home games, while NJD are 1-4 in their last 5 road games.

It may look like 3 easy games tonight, but i dont think they are too easy.

New Jersey is trying to avoid 5th straight loss. While Newyork Rangers are trying to avoid a 2 game loss. Sean Avery of the Rangers has 9points in 12 games, and he has been helping the Rangers in every way lately. As for Brodeur, he is 1-5-3 in the past 9 regular season games against the Rangers, This dates back to last season.(Which is not needed in handicapping the NHL, but wanted to throw it in their). New jersey is 3-2 against the Rangers THIS season, leaving the Rangers 2-3. 2 of the games have gone under 5.5, while 3 have went over. New yorks last game lit the lamp 4 times, and the New Jersey Devils lit the lamp once!

I expect defence to play a major roll tonight in both clubs, look for the total to stay under 5.5

The Sharks are with out Patrick Marleau tonight once again. The Sharks have lost 3 straight game sont he road, and are 4-7-3 in th elast 14 ROAD games.

The Flames are 4-7-0 in their last 11 games
But are 25-9-4 on Home ice!

The Flames are 2-1 against the sharks this season, leaving the Sharks 1-2 this season.
1-3 games have gone under 5.5, and 3-1 have gone over 5.5
Both clubs know how to light the lamp....

I expect this game to go over 5.5 goals.....

The stars look not to lose 7 straight games, as for Marty Turco he has 13 STRAIGHT loss', he will NOt be in net tonight! The Stars have not lost 7 straight since 1989.
Stars 2-3 against Wayne Gretzky's Coyotes, and the Coyotes are 3-2 against the stars this season
4-1 games have gone under 5.5, 1-4 have gone Over 5.5 goals.

Expect good goaltending from Tobias Stephan from the stars, he needs to prove tonight he will be their starter next season, and tonight is his chance to replace Marty Turco. As for the coyotes, they are so unpredictable...

    Under 5.5

Does anyone happen to know what Turco's contract scenario currently is with Dallas?
For example, how many years does he have left on his current contract with the Stars?

    MARTY TURCO CONTRACT
Signed a 4-year extension with the Stars in 06, which by my guess, runs until the 09-10 season. Given that the current contract will expire after next season

he has another season with them.

SJ has a slew of injuries to key players. They could be without their leading goal scorer, Patrick Marleau, tonight. They already have injuries to Jonathan Cheechoo, Rob Blake, Ryan Clowe and Marcel Goc. All of them will miss tonight’s game. The Flames have beaten the Sharks in 2 of 3 meetings this season.
