The Edmonton Oilers face the Columbus Blue Jackets in Columbus tonight. Oilers on a 2 game winning streak, Jackets on a two game losing streak.

Edmonton is getting momentum right now with strong goaltending from Dwayne Roloson. Oilers won two games as a visitor against two notorious strong home teams.

Jackets are coming from two heart breaking losses in OT including one to the lowly NY Islanders. Columbus star Rick Nash is scoreless in last 6 contests.

The Blue Jackets currently have many concerns. They still have their no 1 netminder out and will go with new comer Steve Mason tonight. Columbus defensive corps is suspect when healthy, it will not help to have reliable blue liner Rotislav Klesla out tonight. The team is also looking for players to fing their groove. Raffi Torres (injury) Michael Peca (suspension), Fred Modin (injury) and Manny Malhotra are all coming back from recent layoffs and are still searching for their top game.

I like the Oilers chances here. Health and momentum are two things to look at closely. I think Edmonton is getting the edge in here in both categories. Oilers are coming together in this road trip playing better hockey, fighting for teammates and finally scoring some goals.

Edmonton (-102)
