Welcome to the 2022 SBR World Cup Challenge. Soccer’s biggest tournament kicks off November 20^th and we’ve got $3,000 in cash prizes up for grabs exclusive to SBR Pros. We will be using the platform at runyourpool like we did for the March Madness contest.


Prize-Pool

Group Stage Winner - $500

Knockout Stage Winner - $500

Overall (Both Stages Combined)

1^st - $1,000

2^nd - $500

3^rd - $250

4^th - $150

5^th - $100

*Cash prizes paid out via PayPal.


Contest Rules:

This pool includes both the group stage and the knockout stage, meaning you will need to fill out two pick sheets on the Runyourpool contest site.

The group stage pick sheet will involve ranking how the 32 teams will finish in each group and must be completed by November 20.

Once these games have been completed the knockout stage pick sheet will be available, where you will fill out a bracket for the remaining 16 teams – due by December 3rd. Your overall score will be determined by the points received in both stages.


Contest Scoring:

Group Stage

Members will receive the following points for each correct group finishing position:

First: 1 pt.

Second: 1 pt.

Third: 1 pt.

Fourth: 1 pt.

Member with the most points after the Group Stage will be awarded $500.

1^st Tie Breaker will be most correct group winners

2^nd Tie Breaker will be most correct teams to advance (top 2 finishers correct)

If still tied, winners will split the cash prize.


Knockout Stage

Members will receive the following points for each correct pick in the knockout stage:

Round of 16: 1 pt.

Quarter Final: 2 pts.

Semi Final: 4 pts.

Final: 8 pts.

Leaderboard will be ordered by total points won. Tiebreaker for both Overall and the Knockout Stage will be total number of goals in all 15 games of the knockout round, excluding shootout goals.

2^nd Tie breaker will be number of correct teams in the final 4.

If still tied, winners will split the cash prize.


How To Enter:

1. Go to the Runyourpool Contest Site

2. Register if you do not have an existing RYP account or sign in if you do. Make sure your display name is the same as your SBR username.

Group Stage picks must be submitted by 11:00 AM ET on November 20^th, 2022.

Knockout Stage picks must be submitted by 8:00 AM ET on December 3^rd, 2022.


Fine Print:

1. Contest Open to SBR Pros only. Must an SBR Pro by Group Stage deadline of 11:00 AM ET November 20^th.

2. All Cash prizes paid via PayPal. Winners will be contacted via PM for PayPal details. Must respond within 30 days in order to receive prize.

3. Multiple entries per household are prohibited. SBR reserves the right to disqualify members who attempt to gain more than one entry in the contest.

That applies to taking/paying out bets or contests with an entry fee. Free to play contests are not affected.

Yes that is fine. If your exact username is not available, please make it as close as possible and be sure to use the same email as your SBR account.

In. If your having trouble deciding on picking teams like me who doesn’t know anything about who is better than who in soccer go to a site like Betonline and take a look at the group stage odds under World Cup odds and you will get a better idea of how each group will play out.
