I’m thinking the rule was set in place for a 50/50 team split. Could possible see 33/33/33 with 3 players but anything less is abusing the system

Really anyone that wants a full entry should get one and the rest of the field should be with teams. I assume teams were allowed in the past to fill the field. If you have 80 people that want in by a certain deadline, they should get in unless they do not have a full entry already.

Ideally, you should have full entry and those that cannot afford a full entry or are not willing can partner and that is equivalent to a full entry. You should not be able to double dip when the site is putting in money. Everyone should get an equal chance at the contest.

They are both scamming. Mr. Leisure wants to free ride on Daniel. He is getting something for nothing. Daniel is getting an extra entry at the expense of someone else. You should only have full entries and partnerships. If you are partnered, you cannot have a full entry. If there are not 80 entries then it is just more for those that participated.

Just setting up a bad precedent here. When I played with Mpash we split the picks evenly and then decided on the stars. Espenozas in essence getting 2 entries.

yeah good points. for sure SBR wants the contest to fill. never had a problem in the past that I can remember. But at one time you could join as many teams as you wanted. Then they changed to this format. Guess it is what it is. No worries.

Yes, I agree, while that technically may be within the rules as written, it's not in the spirit of being a real "team".

I mean I would like to effectively have two full entries myself - nothing against my teammate, but this is a very generous contest with a huge overlay, of course I would be maximizing my EV to effectively have two full entries like Espinosa rather than 1.5

Not sure something should be done about it since, as written, it is within the rules, but I think most would agree the rule about what constitutes a real "team" should perhaps be reevaluated in future years if nothing else.
