    French Open Contest 2018 - Men's Singles

Standard stuff: Entry fee is 10 points which needs to be paid to me.

This is a bracket contest that starts at the first round of the French Open. Entries need to be submitted to me no later than 11am on Sunday May 27 local time or 5am on Sunday May 27 EDT.

Each person is to PM me their winners all the way through from the first round to the final round before the first match commences. I'll post everyone's picks at some point after that so we can all follow along... keeping in mind I am 8 hours ahead of Roland Garros so the time difference is going to factor in a bit.

To sign up: You need to go to the Tennis Channel bracket contest, create a login if you don't already have one and do your bracket there. Once you do, copy and paste your final entry with all the matches in a PM to me and send it before the first match starts. The link for the Tennis Channel is here:
    https://www.tourneytopia.com/RacquetBracketFrenchOpenATP/FrenchOpenATP/default.aspx

If you DON'T already have a login, just click Register Now on this page, create one, login and then make your picks and send them to me.

As for scoring we'll use the Tennis Channel's to make it as simple as possible:

    • First Round correct picks receive 1 point(s)
    • Second Round correct picks receive 2 point(s)
    • Third Round correct picks receive 3 point(s)
    • Fourth Round correct picks receive 5 point(s)
    • Quarterfinals correct picks receive 10 point(s)
    • Semifinals correct picks receive 20 point(s)
    • Finals correct picks receive 30 point(s)

Finally, the prizes have been generously donated by SBR and for the first time, the top 10 will be paid!
    1st place - 2500 Betpoints
    2nd place - 2000 Betpoints
    3rd - 1500
    4th - 1000
    5th - 750
    6th to 10th - 300

If anyone has any questions just put them in here but please keep in mind that I'll be around very little today and tomorrow so for those of you have entered my contests before, I'd be eternally grateful if you could guide our new entrants if it seems I'm not around at the moment.

    Thanks everyone and good luck!!!

. Copy and paste the actual final list of names and pm it to me. I can’t see that until the tourney has started... I assume so people just don’t scab other people’s picks!

    Damn I missed this.

Anyone here follow American's men's tennis? I mean, if there were such a thing. I remember watching Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul a few years back thinking they may have a chance, and here we are, both at that critical tennis age- and neither making any dent/splash.

Fritz made the Rd16 at Indian Wells, and made a run at the US Clay Courts, but other than that it's been a rough go.

For Tommy Paul its been far .worse, he lost at some satellite event in the first round in Newport Beach.

Paul should of went the college route. He was/is not strong enough, and losing challengers isn't helping him.

It was about that close. Tried to do some research and realized it was a lost cause. So dart throw'in was the only option.

I wouldn't give up on Paul just yet. Love that there is more flair and thought behind his game then the other US prospects, which are mostly power based players. And he's only 21. The way mens game is at the moment, if you are not super super talented, you will probably make a breakthrough somewhere around age 24, once you mature as a player and person.

Yeah I knew that about Caro but I've barely watched any tennis since the Aus Open and had about 30 minutes to do both of my brackets so figured I'd just cross my fingers and see if she can finally win me some damn money for once!

I've got 60 or so PMs and a few emails so I reckon about 30 or so for each contest give or take.

For all of you who used the Tennis Channel to create your bracket, can you please PM me your tourney entry link if you haven't already done so? With that I can use it to score more easily and then just deal with the manual entries. Thanks!
