The line rarely comes into play

Has anyone noticed that in the Nba playoffs, whoever wins the game covers the spread? I was glancing at the Knicks and Pacers playoff scores, and every game both teams have played, whoever wins, covers (except one push on Boston-Knicks game 1. That's 22 games, 21-0-1. Has anyone else looked into this trend?

Point being, if you were going to take the dog plus the points, wouldn't it seem wise to just take the dog ML?
