Russian Roulette is a potentially lethal game of chance in which participants place a single round in a revolver, spin the cylinder, place the muzzle against their head and pull the trigger.
Sounds just like tennis betting.
Wanted to do something fun and offer me and you a chance to make some betpoints off of it. Here's how it works.
Every day, I will find Resident Flake #1 on the board as far as tennis betting is concerned. May be a Russian, may just be a questionable fixer-type, etc.
I will post the current line from 5Dimes and then will post my pick on who I think will win the match involving this player.
You then decide whether you agree or disagree and post up points in this thread as your wager.
Here's how payment works:
It costs five betpoints to play. I will take TEN entries per day MAX. Starting small to gauge interest and then we may up the stakes/# of entries if people enjoy this.
NON-PROs can enter for a TWO point entry fee. Payout differences listed below.
Picking AGAINST My Selection
If you pick against my selection and my selection wins, I keep your five points. If my selection is a dog priced +110 or higher in this case, you must also pay an additional point next time you enter the contest. That point will be be kept by me and will not count toward any potential refund on your next play.
NON-PRO: You pay two pts. to enter, I keep your two points.
If you pick against my selection and my selection loses, I refund your five points and pay you six additional points.
NON-PRO: You pay two pts to enter. I refund your pts plus one point.
Picking WITH My Selection
If you back my pick to win and my selection wins, I refund your five points and pay you an additional two points.
NON-PRO: I refund your two points and send you one point.
If you back my selection and my selection loses, I refund your five points.
NON-PRO: I refund your two points.
All entry fees must be paid upon you entering this contest. "Entry" is completed when you post your pick of FOR or AGAINST my pick in this thread. Failure to pay your entry fee will result in your disqualification from the contest and any wins or losses will be VOID.
Your entry should only be posted in this thread and you simply need to post "FOR" or "AGAINST" and pay your fee.
All matches played under 5Dimes tennis rules. One set must be complete for action. Any match resulting in no action will see all entry fees refunded.
Any EDITS to your original post will cause you to be DQ'ed from the event. If you change you mind before the schedule start time for a match, make another post to indicate this.
