    Wimbledon Contest 2011 - Men's singles

    1. This is a bracket contest which starts at the First Round of Wimbledon. Entries need to be submitted no later than 10:30am EST on MONDAY JUNE 20th.

    2. Each person is to PM ME their winners all the way through from the First Round until the Final before the first match commences. I'll post everyone's picks at some point in the day so all of us can follow along. I suggest using one of the free bracket sites to make your picks and then simply PM me the results of each round in the format I've supplied below. PLEASE USE THE FORMAT I PROVIDE - THIS MAKES IT MUCH EASIER ON ALL OF US.

    3. You will receive 10 points for each correct winner of a match. NOT betpoints - POINTS TOWARD YOUR CONTEST SCORE. There will be a 100 point bonus to your score if you correctly pick the two players in the Final and a 50 point bonus if you correctly predict the winner of the Final. If you have chosen the winner of the Final and they are seeded outside of the top 10, you will receive an additional 100 point bonus.

    4. In the event of a tie when grading for contest purposes, the first tiebreak will go to the person who picked the highest number of matches correctly, excluding any bonuses. The second tiebreak will consist of the person who picked the most number of dog winners correctly throughout the tournament.

    5. Top 5 will be paid including a small prize for the person who finishes last. Once the contest has started I will post the prizes.

    The entry fee is 20 POINTS which MUST be paid before the commencement of the first match of Round 1 unless you have made special arrangements with me. If you're a Non Pro who begins to pay points yet stop at any point throughout the contest, your entry will be voided and all points paid forfeited.

    My suggestion to make it easier on you is to find a place online to enter your picks and then just use the format below to submit them.

    Please use the format below - it gets really difficult trying to wade through picks when someone decides to just slap them all together.

    TO SUBMIT YOUR PICKS:

    This is a standard bracket contest.You take each first round winner and slot them through until the end. Just to make it clear: You're starting off by telling me what Round 2 would look like if you were going to be watching a round 2 match. So the first names you'll give me are the winners from the Nadal vs Russell match and the Andujar vs Sweeting match as the winners will be playing each other in Round 2. Then you go on to the next subgroup and carry those winners through.

    Lou had said to me last week that non pros can transfer pros more than 2pts a day now. Try that. If it doesn't work, the we'll just have to do it over 20 days.

    Thanks Shari! I wanted to get into the French Open contest, but I missed the deadline for picks. I really enjoy tennis (watching and betting) and this will help me keep an eye on every match.

    Thanks for your offer Shari in the other thread, but you keep them, I just want you to know how much we all appreciate you taking the time for this with all you have been going through, this isn't an easy time for you I am sure.

    This should be a blast. I am just sick I have been putting even the slightest bit of money on all these smaller grass tourneys leading up to Wimbledon, Wimbledon is great to wager on in a period without a lot going on. I just hope it doesnt rain every day and tie up my money each night like in so many years past.

    Yes I remember you saying that. The only thing I could think the problem would be is because youīre a mod it wouldnīt let you accept them- Is there another PRO on here that would accept my 20pts (iīll try doing it as one transfer) and then transfer them to Shari on my behalf?

    any links with complete draws or are they still qualifying?..looks like a shitload of qualifying matches yet to be played so I guess no one can make picks unless they think a qualifier wont win a match

    and some people playing qualifiers are pretty decent players still

    Something happened with my PM's yesterday/today?? and I've now had 3 people gently admonish me for not replying when I'm normally quite quick about that if I'm online.

    The only Wimbledon entries I've received so far are:

    Picks are sent in...picked a few upsets....really had an easier time picking for the french...i think this one is going to unpredictable...at least i had no clue in picking guys.

    I have Karlovic going threw a few rounds as a dark horse

    i really wanted to pick Raonic over Nadal but I couldn't do it.
