College basketball play by plat history
I noticed that both ESPN and Yahoo had a play by play on major college games. (Note: they must get them from different sources because they don't exactly match.)

Does anyone know if these are archived, and where?

ESPN play by play goes back to 2006 for the majority of NCAAB boxscores.

    Not sure about Yahoo!.

statsheet.com is enjoyable. doesn't always have play by play for non-major games.

sometimes you'll get funny nuggets like this

This game was statistically over in the 2nd half with 0:42 left to go.

guess they didn't see that SDSU game from years ago, lol

Thanks. I'd give you points if I could.

Now the problem will be the massive amount of work getting these into a useable form and then deciding what to do with the data.

Man, I just love analyzing data. I suspect many of you guys are also cursed with this time consuming venture.

learn to retrosheet, use the same methodology, converting events to some sort of quantitative or binary form so you can compare

extracting data shouldn't be that hard, once you figure out one page just run it in a loop as far back as you want and output each instance of data to a database or csv file
