I'm trying to clean out some stuff I have stored.

Some of it is boxes with Printed info - Gold Sheet NFL Annuals; printed odds sheets from sportsbooks; the "white Gold Sheet" (forget what it's called) NBA sheets; Sportsform weekly magazines; Phil Steele's NCAA Football Annual magazines; Pro Football Weekly Annual magazines, etc.

All of these contain lines.
The value is questionable, as all of these are also tout services (except Pro Football Weekly), so there's potential that they've graded lines in their own favor. Thus, a -3 could become a -2 1/2 on their recordkeeping, a +3 could be listed as a +3.5, etc.

Also, it's unknown where the lines have been taken from, whether they're Open or Closing or Random Lines, etc.
Sportsform lists 2 lines, I imagine they are or are supposed to be Open and Closing lines.
(Perhaps this could be determined by contacting the publications).

The above are mostly from the last 10 years, although I have older stuff.

My question is: Is there any value to these? Is there any reason to keep them?

If I decide I want to establish a Database in the future, will I be able to obtain all the info I need from data available on the internet (free and/or for sale)?

Have you ever worked on a Database and wished that you had some info which was in print but is not available on the net? (Or printed Las Vegas odds sheets?).

Bottom line is that I could use the space, and I'd like to trash these boxes (actually not trash them - I donate everything to the Public Library used bookstores and/or thriftshops of charities who help the homeless), but just wanted to check with people here who have worked with databases/stats/modeling, to make sure I'm not going to be trashing some potentially valuable info.

SportsOptions has NFL halftime lines in their archive, but only back to 2007. Don Best might have them further back. The other historical odds sets I've seen for sale are just spreads and totals.
