    Spread/ML converter
Sports betting and handicapping forum: discuss picks, odds, and predictions for upcoming games and results on latest bets.

I don't get this converter. I know how to use it, but the results don't seem right. And what does the edge mean? House edge? Well, that can't be, because if you put in +100 and +170 for the ML, it comes out to be like 13%. Wouldn't it be negative? I dunno, somebody mess around with it and tell me if everything seems fine to you.

That's the bettor's edge, not the house edge. As for the data itself, I'm not sure if it uses the most recent data.

I think Ganch did those calcs years back. They are close but they don't have the last 3-5 years of data I don't believe.
