Historical Data and Refine the Parameters

    Hey guys,
I am working on a betting system that involves home favorites.
i try to find historical data and also able to put some parameters.
like 2014-2015 NFL season 7 point favorite home team, cover percentage, ml win percentage, etc.
also same way for other sports too.

    any help appreciated
    thanx

i assume you already know killersports.com....... has alot of what you want......... it doesn't seem to have that much on market pricing (i.e. line movements etc.). can't complain as it's awesome and it's free

I don't think historical distributions of how many times a 7 point favor covers is going to help you to win at all. Easy enough to scrap classic sbrodds and find out.

good to learn that stuff, so you can easily see the line is sharp as hell

The simplest and most basic information can be found here:

    http://www.footballlocks.com/nfl_point_spreads_week_2.shtml

I don't vouch for it's accuracy and obviously without odds for those lines it's generic rather than specific to 1, or even a group, of books. I have personal records of NFL lines for 2016 onwards but they're limited to sporadic times in the 3 days before kickoffs. You're probably better off taking what data you want from old SBR pages.

I don't want to point you in the wrong direction but if you're looking at NFL home favourites you might want to look at the the 1st 8 weeks of seasons separately from the last 8 weeks of seasons.
