    Alternative Line Historical Data

Several books offer alternative lines on spreads and totals. Generally, they start a half a point away from the primary number and then move by half points in several directions. Does anyone know of a source where you can find historical data that includes these alternate lines?

I looked at oddsportal but didn't see any indication that they had this data (I am not registered there).

They are on oddsportal but it is tedious as fukk to get them. For example, of you want NFL, you'd click American Football, then Results. Then you'd need to click on game you want to see all lines.

Found the alternate totals. But you're right, looks like trying to scrape a significant amount of data would be a pain. Thanks.

With that said, oddsportal is only source I know of that stores Alt lines, so if you want to inquire about one or a few specific games, they are the source.

My interest is in scraping entire past seasons data. Really need to learn Python. But at my age, not sure it's worth the time. Besides, working on several projects ahead of this.

I'm interested in the NFL, CFB, NBA, and CBB. The alternate lines desired spreads and totals.

Since I don't currently have access to historical data, I can't back test. So,I'll start test cases with the different categories (alt-spreads, alt-totals, alt-parlays, and M/L) and wager a small amount of money on these.

In test cases, I use Kelly to size the bets. I start each category with a relatively small balance of about $500. If in the most likely scenario, the wagers are unsuccessful, the balance declines until the bets get too small to mess with. Then I abandon that category. On the other hand, if the wagers are successful, than the balance continues to grow and the bets just get bigger. Hopefully they might grow enough to offset the losses in the other tests.
