fairlay has a simple API that can be setup in minutes and I am not afraid to get crushed as you put it. I feel my lines are very sharp and I would keep limits low and adjust lines as the action was taken just like all the books do. Calling me a noob either means you cant or dont read my posts or have a clue who I am. Stay in your lane!

Don’t worry. I won’t be competing with you. My intent is to create some ad hoc props and futures in politics and entertainment since the selection is lacking on that site. Therefore, it would be easier for me to just create them manually.
the issue is the web app for creating a market only allows you to create a market in the NEWS section of course this would radically lower views in sports and would only be found under news category or if someone did a search for your specific team. I thought they created the markets and took on layers or tailers but they dont they have a few market setters that put up and all those guys do really is match pinnies line directly as pinny moves they move via api from pinny to fairlay. I think if you manually entered and can get some traffic in the news category you could manually do it easily.

I think even in my short time here on this forum there are some credible posters here that would vouch for my abilities that they have seen up to this point.

Okay. Have you successfully done this? Because when I tried it, I remember noticing that only News was available (which is fine in my case), but I couldn’t get it to show to the public.

News I can get to post just fine with web app but the issue is exactly what you said you have to hunt it down in news and will never get traffic, the trick is the api so you can set rotation number for the game that will do a few things
A expose it to sports bettors to get action on it
B make it easily identifiable as we all use rotation numbers

No, that’s not the same issue I am describing. Again, being in News is not a problem for me. In fact, that’s where my markets belong. If I could get my new market to actually appear in News, I would be thrilled. My issue is that I create the market in News, but it cannot be found in News, and it doesn’t come up using the search bar either. The only way I can seem navigate to the new market is by clicking on it in my markets in my account menu. So it’s not available to the public. Not just low traffic due to location - it can’t even be seen by anyone who is wants to.

If you’ve successfully created a market in News and had it go public, could you please post a link to it here (or PM the link to me if you have security concerns)? I’d love to compare it to mine and try to figure out what I did wrong. Fairlay support was unhelpful. Thanks!

yeah that part seems odd at best, I am very confused by that part, I assume the market maker but what if the fader disagrees with that decision or its blatantly wrong??? Very valid question, thanks

Fairlay admins settle user created wagers I believe. They settled the one I created which never went public because I put in a small test wager myself. You have to carefully define the criteria so that there is no confusion and there are tiebreakers or clear “no action” criteria in case something funky happens. Basically, think about how vague sportsbooks are with many of their props and don’t do that. If you read some of the markets created on there, some are much better than others at achieving this.

See, I think you’re suffering from the same issue I had. You did create the market. I got that far too. But it doesn’t appear to be publicly available. Like Optional, I cannot see your market in the second link (nor the third link). I also cannot find it if I navigate to News by clicking on the category links. It also doesn’t come up using the search bar. The only way I can see your market is by clicking on your very first link, which is a direct link to the market. I don’t know how to overcome this issue.

Edit: And unlike Optional, I am logged in.

this screenshot is from the news other link not a direct link, I checked the link myself in 3 different browsers, it is live and active, you got to understand that fairlay uses a horrible UI and it generates I believe new links instantly for the lets call them "category" the bet is live right now

the reason you are not seeing it is because under your settings on your browser it is default to only show
Though, you are unable to find it if you've set 'SHOW EMPTY MARKETS' to No at your personal Settings.

under the little gear for settings, click yes to show empty markets that dont have bets and then you will see it, probably the same problem you had with your market

I am going to be rolling hard on this with NBA once the reg season starts, I am super excited, I hope the API is up soon, I mean it is such a weird api if anyone has played with it before it is odd, tons of python, which of course we all know well!

the market creator settles it via api or it is settled manually by fairplay once it closes, you have to be very very precise on all conditions but that is just what you do once you have a template

Yes, this was the problem. Thank you.

Silly me. I didn't expect them to have a DEFAULT setting which prevented markets from showing. And that setting isn't even visible in the main profile page.

Nice job...for kicks You should do one when will sbr review Fairlay Hahaha

    Here is your dispute answer

    How does Fairlay handle disputes?

In case of any unresolvable dispute between a user and Fairlay, Fairlay will accept arbitration from independent, well known, trustworthy entities in the Bitcoin space to settle the issue. Both parties have to agree to the arbitrator in advance. The arbitrator will also determine the party who has to pay the arbitration costs.
Fairlay reserves the right to freeze funds from any client who is suspected of any illegal activity or major misconduct. This includes line manipulation, match fixing, betting fraud and money laundering. In such a case Fairlay will also accept arbitration.

ok my markets are live, I have the first lines out you can bet on WNBA games for the 31st, nobody else will have lines out until tomorrow. If you need me to add more btc LMK and I will. They look pretty good, I am hoping to get some bettors but WNBA market is very small.
