Push charts, EV, and euro style odds

I've been preparing to do some nba push charts and was reviewing j7's book to make sure I didn't forget anything and I got stuck. Pg 246 he makes EV .013 the math appears to work but I don't know how you get it? I've always used decimal odds for my calculations 1.90909*.53=1.0118.

    book math | (0.53)(1)-(0.47)(1.1)=.013

    also from me | (0.53)(0.90909)-(0.47)(1)=.0118

Am I missing something regarding odds-on prices here? I'm trying to figure out a way to do push charts using euro style odds.

    (0.53x0.909-0.47)/0.909=0.013

replace 0.909 with 100/110 to understand where his formula comes from

but isn't this the kelly formula?
