I know how to calc no vig in baseball, however is playing a +140 dog and beating the no vig by 10 cents the same as beating a -105 line by 10 cents. If not, what is the math i need to use. The old rule says for every 2 cents over no vig you have a 1% advantage over the book. Is it the same for playing a +140 dog? i am thinking that playing +140 is only 0.75% over the book (105/140) Thanks!

#2If you bet +140 and closing no-vig is +130:
Implied +140 is 100/240 = .417
Implied +130 is 100/230 = .435
.435/.417 = 1.0435, so edge = 4.35%
If you bet -105 and closing no-vig is -115:
Implied -105 is 105/205 = .512
Implied -115 is 115/215 = .535
.535/.512 = 1.0443, so edge = 4.43%Comment
