I'm new to the world of arbing and have a question about line movement. When you think you have an arb but they move the line before you submit what is the best way to deal with this? Do you wait and hope it moves back (setting a sort of stop loss for where you cut your losses) or do you immediately take that line move and cut the losses there. Alternatively, do you ever let the half of the arb that you did get down ride if it is still better than the current line for that side?
depends, always take take the bad line thru first but have its counterpart at the enter last password stage so you can do both w in 5 secs. chances are it wont move back, do you ever keep your position... yes but it depends, i would suggest matchbook for buying out of arbs as you can get +odds there better than anywhere else as they keep all numbers up before games.
Like G4H said, the only defense you have is to identify the weaker of the 2 #s and bet that one 1st. Less chance of the 2nd # moving if you are betting the weaker # 1st as well.
the biggest problem is that you realized you make a mistake...1 week worth of profit gone.
this is especially hard during mlb season...when you have option of action/action and the listed pitchers. some books might spell the starting pitcher wrong and the wager gets cancelled. not as easy as you all think.
